Upper West Side Neighborhood Guide
The Upper West Side of Manhattan stretches from 59th Street to the South all the way to 110th Street to the North. The Western most boundary is the Hudson River and to the East is Central Park West.
The Upper West Side may be best known for its leafy green residential neighborhoods often seen on TV. This is where Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan lived in You’ve Got Mail, Jerry in Seinfeld (and in real life,) and Liz Lemon on 30 Rock. Luxury apartment buildings overlook Central Park and are occupied by many celebrities. It’s a great location to use as a springboard for exploring Central Park and has a broad mix of culture and relaxed bistros.
